ELKINS FAMILY CONNECTION WITH BISBEE ARIZONA

HISTORY'S TIDBIT (ELKINS FAMILY) - Several members of the Elkins family emigrated from the Coleman Texas area to Bisbee Arizona in the 1940's. Three brothers, Winston, Buren and Sam, made the move to Bisbee, worked in the copper mines for decades and were active in labor unionism. Two of their nephews, Melvin and Merle, both sons of older brother Herman Elkins, relocated to Bisbee at about the same time. Sam and Melvin Elkins still reside in the Bisbee area.
